Caleb Carter (his real name was Ben) was born October 9, 1984, in Southern California and spent his entire life there. Extremely shy as a teenager, he raised and showed dairy goats at the local county fair. He knew he was gay at an early age, but did not lose his virginity until he was 20. Shortly thereafter, Caleb Carter did his first adult film. It was 2004's Dorm Days for Unzipped Video, and he did two more films for minor studios that same year. He told his mother about his new career move: After discussing it with him, she approved (and once or twice showed up to shoots to drop him off and meet his directors). His slender and average body, long penis, exceptional bottoming skills, sense of humor and thorough-going enjoyment about sex, and high energy quickly made him the star of choice for a number of studios. In 2006, Caleb Carter also appeared on MTV's reality dating show, Parental Control. He also appeared in MTV's documentary series, True Life, in an episode called "I Am Gay." The producers followed him around for a while in the aftermath of his breakup with Hunt. Caleb was drinking heavily, and many of his drunken antics were captured on film (to his regret).

His film career tapered off significantly in 2007. He made only two films, including a superior performance in Jonathan's Load. He also made a film for a straight porn company, Shane's World, in which he has gay sex. His last film was Blake Riley's Movin' In, made for long-time friend Chi Chi LaRue in 2008.

He was college educated, a news junkie, and read constantly (showing up to film shoots with a newsmagazine in hand). He wrote short stories and prose, and several times started work on novels. His favorite novels were Jim Grimsley's Dream Boy and Alex Sanchez's Rainbow Boys.
