Netflix has released the official trailer for America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Season 3, and the kicks — quite literally — are higher than ever.
The Emmy Award-winning docuseries returns to follow the 2025–26 Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders squad from auditions through training camp and into the NFL season. Once again, the series goes behind the polished game-day image to show the pressure, discipline and emotional cost behind one of the most recognisable teams in American sports entertainment.
Season 3 raises the competition immediately. According to Netflix, 30 veterans return to auditions, while only six spots are available for hopeful newcomers. That makes the path to the squad even tighter, with rookies and returning cheerleaders both fighting for a place under the same unforgiving spotlight.
The trailer also reflects how much the series itself has changed the DCC world. After the first two seasons turned the team into a global streaming obsession, the women now face not only the demands of performance, training and perfection, but also a new level of online visibility. Fame brings opportunity, but it also brings scrutiny — and the new season appears ready to explore both sides of that attention.
Senior director Kelli Finglass and head choreographer Judy Trammell return to guide the squad through auditions, training camp and the real football season. Their presence remains central to the show’s tension: supportive, exacting and fully aware that every decision can change someone’s dream.
What keeps America’s Sweethearts compelling is that it understands the contrast at the heart of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. From the outside, the brand is sparkle, precision, smiles and stadium lights. Behind the scenes, it is exhaustion, rejection, ambition, sisterhood and an almost brutal standard of performance. That tension is exactly where the series finds its emotional power.
For fans of sports documentaries, reality competition and behind-the-scenes performance stories, Season 3 looks like another strong chapter. It is not just about who makes the team. It is about what it costs to chase a dream that millions of people think they already understand.
All seven episodes of America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Season 3 premiere on Netflix on June 16.
