Last year, reports surfaced about a potential revival of the popular 2000s prison series, and now Hulu has officially greenlit a reboot of Prison Break—or more accurately, a pilot episode. The new series will not feature characters from the original five-season run, such as Michael Scofield (played by Wentworth Miller) or Lincoln Burrows (played by Dominic Purcell). Instead, it will take place in the same universe as Prison Break, focusing on new prisoners. The pilot is being developed by Elgin James, co-creator and former showrunner of Mayans M.C., the now-canceled Sons of Anarchy spinoff.
