Filming for the fifth and final season of Stranger Things has officially come to an end. For the former child actors, this farewell feels timely as they’ve outgrown the roles they first stepped into in 2016. Yet, letting go of years of shared experiences hasn’t been easy. Millie Bobby Brown, who played Eleven, was particularly emotional on her last day on set. The 20-year-old actress shared several nostalgic photos and a video on Instagram, capturing the heartfelt moments of saying goodbye to the crew.
“Isn’t graduation supposed to bring relief? You’re supposed to be happy leaving behind your teachers and classmates. Well, I’m not. Not at all. I’m not ready to say goodbye to you guys. I love you all and will forever cherish the memories we’ve made together as a family. I love you. Thank you,” Brown said in her farewell speech, choking up with emotion as she spoke.
The final season of Stranger Things doesn’t have an official premiere date yet but is expected to arrive next year.
