It might seem like David Ayer is constantly complaining about the fact that the director’s cut of Suicide Squad hasn’t been shown to the public, but the director is far from idle—he's a busy man. After The Beekeeper, Ayer will follow up with A Working Man, starring Jason Statham, and he’s once again collaborating with Brad Pitt after their 2014 war action film Fury. We previously reported on this project, which will be titled Heart of the Beast. Pitt will play a veteran who, together with his retired combat dog, survives a plane crash in Alaska. They must survive the harsh wilderness and weather conditions. Deadline reported that Pitt is not only starring but also producing the project through his Plan B production company. The screenplay was written by Cameron Alexander, marking his first feature film script.
