The duo from Blow and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides will reunite in a new action thriller titled Day Drinker. Depp will portray a bartender working on an ocean liner who soon finds himself embroiled in a dark mystery after encountering a mysterious woman.
Although few details about the Lionsgate project are currently available, it’s confirmed that Marc Webb (Snow White, The Amazing Spider-Man 2) will be directing.
“There’s no better director than Marc, nor two more perfect actors than Johnny and Penelope to bring this world to life,” said Adam Fogelson, president of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, as quoted by Variety.
