The Oscars and the announcement of the Oscar nominees are approaching, with the Academy revealing the nominees on January 23. So, it's not surprising that this is preceded by the list of Golden Raspberry (Razzie) nominees. The Razzies have once again published their picks for the worst films of 2024, and while some films on the list might not be familiar to you, there are plenty of globally recognized works among the nominees that the public may not necessarily agree with.
Joker: Folie à Deux (Joker 2) flopped at the box office and was panned by both critics and audiences, so a Golden Raspberry nomination for director Todd Phillips, the two lead actors, Joaquin Phoenix (who won an Oscar for the first film!), Lady Gaga, and the film itself was almost a given. Joker 2 leads the pack with seven nominations across various categories, while other films such as the Ronald Reagan biopic Reagan, Madame Web, Borderlands, and Megalopolis aren’t far behind with six nominations each.
