20th Century Studios has released the official teaser for Ice Age: Boiling Point, bringing the beloved animated franchise back to theaters for a brand-new big-screen adventure.
The new film reunites Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie, Scrat and the rest of the herd as they head into never-before-seen corners of the dangerous Lost World. This time, the prehistoric chaos comes with a very clear temperature warning: dinosaurs, lava, volcanic eruptions and the kind of disaster that only this herd could accidentally turn into a family road trip.
The teaser leans into exactly what audiences expect from Ice Age: physical comedy, panicked shouting, impossible survival and one deeply unlucky squirrel chasing an acorn through geological catastrophe. Scrat’s chaos has always been the franchise’s secret weapon, and a volcanic setting gives him plenty of room to ruin everyone’s day on a continental scale.
Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary and Queen Latifah are expected back as Manny, Sid, Diego and Ellie, with Simon Pegg also returning as Buck. That familiar voice cast is a major part of the appeal, especially for viewers who grew up with the original films and now get to revisit the herd in a new theatrical chapter.
The Lost World setting also gives Boiling Point a neat way to refresh the franchise without abandoning its core identity. The Ice Age movies have always mixed prehistoric adventure with absurd comedy, but lava, dinosaurs and volcanic danger push the scale into a more chaotic survival zone. Basically: same herd, worse holiday destination.
For families and longtime fans of animated adventure movies, Ice Age: Boiling Point looks like a cheerful return to a franchise built on disaster, friendship and very questionable decision-making. The teaser does not need to overcomplicate the pitch: the herd is back, the ground is melting, and Scrat is probably about to make things significantly worse.
Ice Age: Boiling Point opens in theaters on February 5, 2027.
