20th Century Studios has released an official clip from The Devil Wears Prada 2, bringing audiences back into the sharply dressed, high-pressure world of Runway Magazine.
Almost twenty years after the original film became a defining fashion-world comedy, Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci return as Miranda Priestly, Andy Sachs, Emily Charlton and Nigel Kipling. That alone is enough to make the sequel feel like an event: four characters who helped turn the first film into a pop-culture staple are stepping back into a media landscape that has changed dramatically since 2006.
The new clip leans into exactly what fans want from this world: glossy surfaces, controlled chaos, cutting looks and the sense that every sentence in Miranda’s orbit could ruin someone’s entire week. The Devil Wears Prada 2 appears to understand that the appeal is not only the fashion, but the tension underneath it — ambition, loyalty, humiliation, reinvention and the exhausting glamour of trying to survive in a room where everyone is watching.
The sequel also reunites director David Frankel and writer Aline Brosh McKenna, giving the film a strong creative link to the original.
