Steve Martin, Tom Waits, David Alan Grier and more help tell the story alongside Mull himself.
There’s another bittersweet layer to the documentary: it was co-directed by Bob Saget, whose interviews with Mull appear in the film, making it Saget’s final directing project. Who Is Martin Mull? premieres October 7 on Netflix.
