Daniel Craig stars in Luca Guadagnino's latest film, Queer, and the British actor has nothing but praise for the Italian director's previous work, Challengers. The sultry romantic sports drama made waves with its iconic scene where Zendaya's character is simultaneously courted by Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist’s characters in a hotel room.
“That scene in the hotel room, where they don’t actually have sex, is the biggest 'tease' in film history,” Craig told Variety.
He didn’t stop there, also admiring other elements of Challengers:
“I loved the ending, of course. I loved where the story landed after so much buildup—we finally get there. That’s so typical of Luca, wanting to find the right moment for love. We see how the love between the two guys transcends everything. I just adore stuff like that.”
