Talk to Me, the directorial debut of Danny and Michael Philippou, was an incredibly exciting little horror film where a group of young people gathers to handle a strange, mummified hand, through which they make contact with the afterlife—and something else as well. Three years after their first film, the Philippou brothers return with another horror titled Bring Her Back, promising even more chills, hopefully with a more complex story and characters. Not much is known about the plot yet, and the trailer doesn't give away too much, but it’s clear that a sibling pair stumbles upon a horrifying ritual at their stepmother's house. These bizarre visuals will likely remind many of The Ring, at least because of the well and water motifs.
Bring Her Back will be released in U.S. theaters on May 30. The film stars Sally Hawkins, Billy Barratt, Jonah Wren Phillips, Sally-Anne Upton, Stephen Phillips, Sora Wong, and Liam Damons.
