It seems that the previous rumor, suggesting that Euphoria star Colman Domingo could be the new Kang in the MCU after Jonathan Majors stepped down, has caused such a stir that the actor and Marvel have already had discussions about it. Domingo shared in the Happy Sad Confused podcast that he was actually surprised by these rumors, which led him to sit down and have open talks with Marvel's leaders, where everything was laid out clearly.
“We spoke openly about Marvel and the Kang rumors. My thing is energy. I want to do things that make sense and bring a gentle energy. I want a role to be mine, whatever I do. I didn’t feel right about someone being replaced. I want to build something from the ground up that’s mine.”

Based on this, it seems that even though the two parties have had talks, Domingo probably wouldn’t feel comfortable taking on the Kang role previously played by Majors, making it unlikely that he will play the character if it appears in the MCU. For now, it’s still unknown what will happen to the grand conqueror, as another well-known actor’s name has also been brought up in connection with the character. It’s suspected that Marvel may have quietly sidelined him to make way for Doctor Doom.
Nevertheless, there’s still a possibility that the character, who found himself in a very uncomfortable position due to Majors’ scandal, might receive some sort of closure. So, we’re eagerly waiting to see what the MCU’s future holds for him.
