Marvel Entertainment has released the final trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, offering an emotional journey through Peter Parker’s past before throwing the isolated hero into some of his most dangerous battles yet.
The trailer opens by revisiting key moments from Tom Holland’s first three Spider-Man films while Peter recites the letter he once intended to give MJ after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. That plan was abandoned after Peter realised that MJ and Ned were safer without any memory of him.
Now living alone in a world where nobody remembers Peter Parker, he has dedicated himself completely to fighting crime as Spider-Man. However, watching his former friends continue their lives without him places Peter under growing emotional pressure and triggers a mysterious physical transformation that he may not be able to control.
The final trailer provides new footage of Spider-Man battling Michael Mando’s returning Mac Gargan, better known as Scorpion, as well as members of the Hand. Peter also finds himself caught in an enormous confrontation with a savage version of the Hulk, played once again by Mark Ruffalo.
Despite the expanded action, Peter’s relationship with MJ remains at the emotional centre of the footage. In one particularly powerful moment, Spider-Man enters her apartment and tells her that he made a promise to keep her safe—suggesting that staying away from MJ may no longer be possible.
The story will also introduce a dangerous new enemy described by Sony Pictures as a villain whom nobody can see. Peter’s unexplained transformation may ultimately be the only force capable of stopping this threat before it destroys New York and the people he still loves.
Tom Holland and Zendaya return as Peter Parker and MJ, alongside Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds. The cast also includes Sadie Sink in a still-undisclosed role, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is directed by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton and written by returning MCU Spider-Man screenwriters Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad and Rachel O’Connor serve as producers.
With its combination of street-level battles, larger MCU connections and Peter’s unresolved feelings for the friends who no longer know him, the final trailer suggests that Brand New Day will be as much about Peter Parker rebuilding his identity as it is about Spider-Man saving the city.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to arrive in UK cinemas on 29 July 2026, followed by its US theatrical release on 31 July 2026.
