Apparently, when Tom Cruise sits next to Taylor Swift at a football game, Taylor becomes the teacher.
Speaking to Jimmy Fallon, Cruise revealed that Swift was “schooling” him on football during the Kansas City Chiefs game, praising both her knowledge of the sport and her talents as a writer, musician and director. The two also talked movies and music — although Cruise admitted it was his first football game since before the pandemic.
Then things got considerably stranger. Cruise also discussed his transformation into eccentric oil tycoon Digger Rockwell for Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s Digger, including extensive prosthetics, a fat suit and a ten-minute monologue filmed in one continuous take. The makeup initially took hours to apply before Cruise and the team worked out how to dramatically speed up the process.
Digger opens in theaters on October 2, 2026.
