Woody Harrelson has probably witnessed stranger things in Hollywood, but this one may be difficult to beat.
Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Harrelson and Kimmel reconstructed an extraordinary moment from the Emmys bathroom. An emotional Kimmel had been comforted by Matthew McConaughey after seeing his late friend Cleto Escobedo in the In Memoriam segment — only to realise midway through their hug that McConaughey hadn’t exactly finished using the urinal. Naturally, that was the precise moment Harrelson emerged from a nearby stall.
The conversation then moved to the long-running possibility that Harrelson and McConaughey could genuinely be half-brothers. The two longtime friends still haven’t settled the question with a DNA test, but they’re now having plenty of fun with it in Apple TV’s new comedy Brothers, where they play fictionalised versions of themselves who discover exactly that family secret.
