Apparently even Netflix isn’t safe from Abaddon.
The first teaser for Haunted Hotel Season 2 has arrived, bringing the supernatural animated comedy back just in time for Halloween — and naturally, its resident demon isn’t interested in making a normal announcement.
Instead, Abaddon takes over Netflix itself.
The short teaser sees the pint-sized demon rampaging through the streaming service’s interface, throwing other titles out of his way and effectively hijacking the homepage before announcing his return.
“Fools! I decide when I return.”
Fair enough.
It’s a wonderfully strange way to announce the second season, and one that fits a series already built around the idea that running a hotel full of ghosts, monsters and supernatural disasters is somehow a family business.
Haunted Hotel follows Katherine, a single mother attempting to keep the Undervale Hotel running with a somewhat unusual support system.
Her late brother Nathan is now one of the hotel’s ghosts. Her children Ben and Esther have their own increasingly bizarre problems to deal with. And then there’s Abaddon — an immensely powerful demon who happens to be trapped inside the body of a young boy.
Season 2 finds Katherine and her family beginning to settle into their strange new normal, although Netflix is already promising another collection of paranormal problems looking for vacancies.
Will Forte returns as Nathan, alongside Eliza Coupe as Katherine, Skyler Gisondo as Ben, Natalie Palamides as Esther and Jimmi Simpson as Abaddon.
The adult animated comedy was created by Matt Roller, whose previous credits include Rick and Morty, Archer and Community. Dan Harmon, Chris McKenna and Steve Levy are among the executive producers, while Erica Hayes returns as supervising director.
Animation studio Titmouse is also back for the new season.
Netflix has ordered eight new half-hour episodes, following the first season’s debut in September 2025.
And while the teaser deliberately keeps the new storylines hidden, its message is fairly clear.
The Undervale is reopening.
The ghosts are still there.
And Abaddon apparently now controls Netflix.
