Ben Affleck stars as Mark Kimball, a Los Angeles mayoral candidate whose carefully constructed public life collapses when his son is kidnapped. With his wife Abigail, played by Kerry Washington, Mark races to raise the ransom — but every decision exposes another secret and threatens to destroy both their marriage and the image he has built his career around.
Affleck also directs and co-writes the thriller, with Gillian Anderson and Steven Yeun among the supporting cast. Animals arrives in select theaters and on Netflix on October 9, 2026.
