Johnny Depp is heading back to sea — although this looks nothing like another pirate adventure.
Day Drinker stars Madelyn Cline as a bartender working aboard a private yacht whose life changes when she meets a mysterious passenger played by Depp. Their encounter soon pulls both of them into the orbit of a dangerous criminal figure played by Penélope Cruz, while the trailer hints that Depp’s stranger may be hiding something considerably darker than his identity.
Directed by Marc Webb, the filmmaker behind The Amazing Spider-Man and (500) Days of Summer, the thriller reunites Depp and Cruz for their fourth film together. Manu Ríos, Arón Piper and Juan Diego Botto also star. Day Drinker arrives exclusively in theaters on March 26, 2027.
