Doctor Doom can handle Thor. A ringing phone in the middle of his big entrance? Apparently even he has limits.
Marvel Studios’ new Avengers: Doomsday “Silence Your Phones” spot begins like another dramatic preview, with Doom facing Thor and resurrecting damaged Sentinels — until somebody’s phone starts ringing. The camera then reveals an absurdly star-packed cinema audience featuring Yelena Belova, Shang-Chi, Shuri, Cyclops, Reed and Sue Richards, Sam Wilson, Bucky Barnes, Namor, Guy Gardner… okay, wrong universe — but practically everyone else in the MCU is there to glare at the culprit. Florence Pugh’s Yelena even delivers a perfectly disgusted “No, no, no.”
The PSA originally debuted in cinemas with Avengers: Endgame – Encore before Marvel officially released it online. It may only be around 30 seconds long, but bringing the Avengers, X-Men and Fantastic Four together just to tell people to put their phones away might be Marvel’s most expensive cinema-etiquette announcement ever. Avengers: Doomsday arrives exclusively in theaters on December 18, 2026.
