Warner Bros. Pictures has released a new “Get Tickets” spot for The End of Oak Street, offering another explosive look at the mysterious science-fiction survival adventure before it arrives in cinemas and IMAX.
Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor star as the parents of the Platt family, whose ordinary suburban life is suddenly torn apart by an unexplained cosmic event. Their home, their neighbours and the entirety of Oak Street are ripped away from the familiar world and transported to a vast, unknown environment.
The latest footage wastes little time revealing just how dangerous their new surroundings have become. Roads now end above enormous forests, familiar homes stand isolated within an impossible landscape and prehistoric creatures roam beyond the boundaries of the neighbourhood.
With no clear explanation for what has happened or any obvious route home, the Platts must quickly adapt to a world where the rules of modern civilisation no longer apply. Their survival depends on remaining together, protecting one another and understanding the strange environment before its predators reach them.
Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor lead the cast alongside Maisy Stella and Christian Convery as the younger members of the Platt family. The ensemble also includes P. J. Byrne and Chris Coy.
The film is written and directed by David Robert Mitchell, the filmmaker behind It Follows and Under the Silver Lake. While Mitchell is best known for unsettling mysteries and carefully constructed suspense, The End of Oak Street appears to place those sensibilities inside a much larger-scale adventure filled with creatures, cosmic phenomena and spectacular survival sequences.
J. J. Abrams serves as one of the film’s producers through Bad Robot, alongside Hannah Minghella, Jon Cohen, David Robert Mitchell, Matt Jackson and Tommy Harper. Michael Giacchino composed the score, while cinematographer Michael Gioulakis reunites with Mitchell after previously working on It Follows.
The promotional spot also highlights the film’s IMAX presentation. The combination of enormous prehistoric landscapes, suburban destruction and close encounters with towering creatures appears designed to make full use of the expanded theatrical format.
Although the footage confirms that dinosaurs are among the dangers awaiting the Platt family, the larger mystery remains carefully protected. It is still unclear where Oak Street has been transported, what caused the event or whether the neighbourhood has moved through space, time or something even stranger.
The End of Oak Street begins its international theatrical rollout on August 12, 2026, before opening in US cinemas and IMAX on August 14, 2026.
