Universal’s latest look at Other Mommy puts the spotlight on the sinister entity haunting eight-year-old Bela — a creature that appears exactly like her real mother Ursula, with Jessica Chastain playing both roles. But Other Mommy can’t simply take what she wants: she keeps asking Bela one deeply unsettling question — “Can I go inside your heart?”
Directed by Rob Savage and produced by James Wan, the film adapts Josh Malerman’s Incidents Around the House and also stars Jay Duplass, Dichen Lachman, Arian Moayed and Karen Allen. Other Mommy arrives in theaters October 9, 2026.
