Bad Monkey Season 2 Trailer Pits Vince Vaughn Against John Malkovich

A Florida murder, a dangerous mob boss and Andrew Yancy's complete inability to keep his mouth shut set the stage for Bad Monkey Season 2. Apple TV's official trailer brings Vince Vaughn back for another collision of crime, corruption and sharp-edged comedy.

This time, Yancy witnesses the murder of a notorious local fixer. Hoping to recover his detective's badge, he agrees to work with a strait-laced forensic accountant, only to find himself caught between rival criminal organisations.

The trailer makes the threat distinctly personal: John Malkovich plays Spencer Donovan, a formidable crime boss whose associates make it clear that Yancy's usual wisecracks have consequences.

The footage also reunites Yancy with Dr Rosa Campensino (Natalie Martinez), although their relationship remains complicated. Charlotte Lawrence and John Ortiz return, while Yvonne Strahovski and Zavior Phillips join the cast. Guest stars include Dax Shepard, Sofia Boutella and June Diane Raphael.

Developed by Bill Lawrence (Ted Lasso, Shrinking), Bad Monkey began as an adaptation of Carl Hiaasen's novel. The second season moves beyond the book with an entirely original story, retaining the show's blend of eccentric Florida characters, criminal intrigue and dry humour.

Bad Monkey Season 2 premieres on Apple TV on 2 December 2026, launching with one episode before continuing weekly until 3 February 2027.

Yancy may still be trying to win back his badge, but staying out of trouble seems decidedly less likely.
