The Man with the Bag Trailer: Arnold Schwarzenegger Is Santa Claus

Arnold Schwarzenegger is trading his action-hero credentials for a very different kind of Christmas mission in The Man with the Bag, a festive action-comedy that pairs him with Reacher star Alan Ritchson.

The newly released official trailer introduces Schwarzenegger as Santa Claus, whose preparations for Christmas take a disastrous turn when his magical red bag is stolen by a disgruntled elf, played by Awkwafina.

With Christmas hanging in the balance, Santa turns to an unlikely ally: Vance (Alan Ritchson), a talented thief whose name appears on the Naughty List. Together with Vance's daughter and a crew of unconventional accomplices, the pair must recover the stolen bag before Christmas Eve.

The trailer combines elaborate heist action, festive magic and comedy, offering a playful contrast between Schwarzenegger's larger-than-life Santa and Ritchson's reluctant criminal recruit.

Directed by Adam Shankman (Hairspray, Disenchanted) from a screenplay by Allan Rice, the film also features Berkeley James, Liza Koshy, Michael Cyril Creighton, Kyle Mooney, Jane Krakowski and Ken Jeong.

The project marks Schwarzenegger's return to Christmas cinema three decades after the release of Jingle All the Way in 1996. This time, rather than desperately searching for a Christmas present, he's the one responsible for delivering them.

The Man with the Bag premieres globally on Prime Video on 2 December 2026, bringing an action-packed twist to the traditional Christmas adventure.
