Eternal Return Trailer: Kit Harington and Naomi Scott Travel Through Time for Love

What if the path to finding love again led through the past? The official trailer for Eternal Return introduces a magical romantic adventure starring Naomi Scott and Kit Harington, where time itself might offer a second chance at happiness.

Scott plays Cass, a young woman who has emotionally withdrawn from the world following a painful loss. Having convinced herself that love is no longer worth the risk, she finds her carefully guarded existence challenged on her 29th birthday.

That's when she meets Virgil (Kit Harington), an eccentric cartographer who creates maps of imaginary places and believes the past, present and future may exist simultaneously.

Alongside his friend Malcolm (Simon Callow), Virgil embarks on an extraordinary experiment: attempting to travel backwards through time and help Cass rediscover her ability to love.

The trailer introduces the film's unusual concept through mysterious maps, unexpected encounters and the possibility that memories may offer more than a glimpse of what has been lost.

Written and directed by Yaniv Raz, Eternal Return also stars Sonoya Mizuno, Jay Lycurgo and Simon Kunz.

The film premiered at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival, before Quiver Distribution acquired its North American distribution rights.

Blending romantic drama with science-fiction fantasy, the story explores grief, emotional vulnerability and the desire to revisit moments that shaped our lives.

Rather than treating time travel purely as an adventure, Eternal Return uses its fantastical premise to examine the difficult process of opening yourself to love after loss.

Eternal Return arrives in US cinemas on December 4, 2026.
