Jumanji: Open World Trailer Brings the Game Into the Real World
Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan return in the new Jumanji: Open World trailer, as dangerous creatures escape the game and invade the real world.
The game is no longer contained inside the console. Sony Pictures has released a new trailer for Jumanji: Open World, bringing Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan back for one final adventure in the modern Jumanji trilogy.
This time, the danger isn't limited to the game's unpredictable jungle. Jumanji begins invading the real world, unleashing terrifying creatures and supernatural chaos onto the streets of a snow-covered city.
The new footage shows enormous prehistoric animals causing destruction as the boundaries between reality and the game collapse. Meanwhile, Spencer and several unexpected companions are pulled back into Jumanji, taking control of its familiar avatars.
Dwayne Johnson returns as Dr. Smolder Bravestone, alongside Karen Gillan as Ruby Roundhouse, Kevin Hart as Franklin “Mouse” Finbar and Jack Black as Professor Sheldon Oberon.
However, familiar faces don't necessarily mean familiar personalities. A surprising body-swapping twist creates new complications, forcing the characters to adapt to different players controlling their abilities.
The returning ensemble also includes Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner, Ser'Darius Blain, Nick Jonas and Danny DeVito.
Directed by Jake Kasdan, who also helmed Welcome to the Jungle and The Next Level, the film promises another combination of large-scale action, comedy and video game-inspired adventure.
With the real world now at risk and no extra lives to rely on, the heroes face their most unpredictable challenge yet.
Jumanji: Open World arrives in US cinemas on December 25, 2026.
