Best Pancakes in the County Trailer: Nicolas Cage Is Unrecognisable

Nicolas Cage is almost unrecognisable in the official trailer for Best Pancakes in the County, an explosive action thriller that turns an ordinary American diner into the setting for a deadly confrontation.

Sporting a curly black wig, a prosthetic nose and an eccentric outfit, Cage plays S.O.B., a fast-talking criminal whose dangerous past catches up with him during one increasingly chaotic night.

After a botched FBI heist, a remote roadside diner becomes the centre of a violent standoff involving rogue federal agents, rival assassins and a waitress who knows more than she initially reveals.

Justin Long stars as Cookie, while Shelley Hennig plays Dolly, a seemingly ordinary waitress caught in the escalating conflict. As secrets emerge and alliances shift, everyone inside the diner must decide whom they can trust.

The ensemble also includes Lauren German, Ravi Patel, Brandon Mychal Smith, Kelly Greyson and Jaylen Moore.

Written and directed by Ken Sanzel, the film reunites the filmmaker with Cage following their collaboration on the 2019 action thriller Kill Chain.

The trailer promises a blend of dark humour, gunfights, explosive action and the kind of eccentric performance that has become a signature of Cage's career.

Despite its comforting title, this is clearly no ordinary breakfast stop. With corrupt agents, dangerous criminals and hidden agendas all converging in one location, the pancakes might be the safest thing on the menu.

Best Pancakes in the County arrives in select US cinemas and on digital platforms on November 20, 2026.
