Slayground Teaser Turns a Haunted House Into a Crime Scene

A Halloween attraction becomes the scene of a horrifying massacre in the official teaser for Slayground, the latest thriller from writer-director Jeremy Saulnier, known for Green Room, Blue Ruin and Rebel Ridge.

The film stars Cory Michael Smith as “Metal Mike” Graves, a haunted-house performer who wakes up surrounded by the bodies of his co-workers with absolutely no memory of what happened.

With multiple people dead and a statewide manhunt closing in, Mike becomes the centre of a terrifying mystery. Determined to piece together the events of that night, he must uncover the truth before the authorities catch him — even if the evidence ultimately points towards his own involvement.

Set around Halloween, Slayground transforms the familiar thrills of a haunted attraction into something considerably more sinister, combining psychological uncertainty with the relentless tension of a crime thriller.

The ensemble cast includes Chase Sui Wonders, Sophie Wilde, Stanley Simons, Young Mazino, Imogen Poots, Matty Matheson, James Badge Dale and Stephen Root.

Saulnier writes and directs the film, marking another collaboration with A24 following his acclaimed 2015 survival thriller Green Room.

The teaser offers glimpses of a bloody crime scene, police investigations and unsettling encounters, leaving audiences questioning whether Mike is a survivor, a suspect or something far more dangerous.

With its mysterious premise and brutal atmosphere, Slayground promises another intense exploration of violence, paranoia and survival.

Slayground arrives in US cinemas on January 29, 2027.
