In this new commentary, Legacy Effects’ J. Alan Scott revisits the craftsmanship behind Din Djarin and Grogu, including the Mudhorn signet that represents their bond. Din first receives the symbol after becoming Grogu’s protector, while Season 3 later sees the Armorer forge Grogu his own rondel bearing the same Mudhorn — visually turning father and foundling into a matching Mandalorian family.
The video also offers another reminder of how heavily the franchise relies on practical work: Legacy Effects builds and operates Grogu alongside digital artists, with sculpting, animatronics, robotics and CG combining to make the character feel alive.
